2024 – IV. International Shakespeare Festival in Turkey
IV. INTERNATIONAL SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL PROMETHEUS OF WORLD LITERATURE HONORS TURKEY
08-20 May 2024 Isparta & Antalya, Türkiye
6 venues, 12 days, 15+ events…
After 4 years of prorogation, IV. The International Shakespeare Festival in Turkey was held again!
This celebration of the Bard’s enduring legacy brought together plays, poetry readings, and lectures in both Turkish and English, offering attendees the opportunity to savor the delights of these timeless works.
Shakespeare’s words and concepts were passionately presented for everyone’s understanding and enjoyment by the committed faculty, staff, and students of SDU as well as by renowned international individuals. Shakespeare’s plays and poetry were presented during the festival, which highlighted their depth and complexity with a varied schedule of performances, talks, and presentations. With live talks and conversations including Turkish artists, the festival served as a forum for intellectual interchange in addition to providing a stage for creative expression.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who helped make the 4th Shakespeare Festival a success as we think back on the special moments and thought-provoking discussions that it included. We treasured the pleasure of having you as company, and your presence and involvement brought enormous value to the occasion.
Even when the festival is over, its influence endures and contributes to ongoing cultural enrichment and academic interaction. We enthusiastically look forward to further chances to unite in honor of William Shakespeare’s enduring talent.
