About Us

The Shakespeare Festival in Turkey, the first of its kind in the country, stands as a unique and vibrant celebration of William Shakespeare’s timeless works, enriching the cultural tapestry of Isparta, Antalya, and Burdur.
Established in 2018 under the auspices of Süleyman Demirel University and Isparta Municipality, the festival has become an integral part of the global Shakespearean landscape.
Surrounded by the captivating allure of these cities, the event captures the essence of Shakespearean theatre by presenting contemporary world productions of the Bard’s plays in venues that echo the spirit of the playwright’s own era.
