Asst. Prof. Yeşim Sultan Akbay

Yeşim Sultan Akbay is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Western Languages and Literature at Süleyman Demirel University (SDÜ) in Isparta, Turkey. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at SDÜ, culminating in a PhD in 2021. Her research spans World Literatures, Literary Theory and English Literature, with particular attention to Victorian and modern women writers, defamiliarization devices, and postcolonial feminist discourse. She has published on figures such as Aphra Behn, Penelope Fitzgerald and Emily Brontë, and serves on the editorial boards of international journals.
